Struggling to get ready in timely manner? These are the cutest quick outfits that will save time when you’re running late.
Getting ready is my favorite hobby. If you’re anything like me, the clock never works in your favor. As a beauty and fashion writer, I know that looking put together sets the tone for your entire day. Here are my favorite quick outfits that’ll get you out the door on time.
After learning about these clothing combos, you’ll be a pro at quickly adding interest to your go-to fits and even more prepared for when your busy schedule keeps you on the go.
1. Maxi Skirt + Long Shirt
Sometimes we think of outfits as “little pants, big shirt” or “little shirt, big pants,” but what’s life without taking risks? The way that an oversized shirt compliments a maxi skirt (flowy or structured) is unmatched. Try it next time you’re crunched on time. We suggest accessorizing heavily.
2. White T-Shirt under Pullover
No one really knows why a white tee under a pullover works, but it always does. Without fail, this subtle detail will elevate your look – no accessories needed. Throw on a baseball cap, if desired.

3. Button Down with Jacket
Why have one layer when you can have two? Think of a button-down under your jacket as an accessory to your outerwear. This works best if the button-down is oversized. Just some troubleshooting advice… you may want the weight of your button-down to be similar to that of your jacket.
4. Button Down + Mini Skirt
A button down is a staple that most of us have lying around somewhere. Look for a well structured shirt to pair with a mini skirt of your choice. A black pleated skirt is demonstrated well in this pin, but you can also opt for a denim skirt as well.
5. Sheer Shirt under a T-Shirt
A sheer long-sleeve shirt under a top is one of the simplest way to add interest to your quick outfits. What we love most about it is how it can be used in a daytime or nighttime look. The scalloped sleeves are what we love about this look in particular, but don’t just stop at lace.. Try a mesh top or one made of a thin linen.

6. Small Top + Long Jean Shorts
We’ve been loving the resurgence of big denim shorts. You can sport an Adam Sandle–inspired ‘fit and still present more femininely with well-fitted baby tee. Try leaning into a 90s look for the day or style them as you would capri pants. You can also pair with a button-down and your favorite pair of sunglasses.
7. Dark-Colored Bottom + Light Top
This is just an easy “rule” for when things just aren’t coming together. Opt for a darker bottom and a lighter top (or vice versa). This especially works well with monotone looks.
8. Sweater tucked in Silk Skirt
Mixing fabrics and textures is a tried and true way to make your outfit feel more complete. This look works whether you prefer neutrals or tend to gravitate towards bold colors. We love it paired with sneakers.
9. Low Rise Jeans + Long Sleeve Shirt
Sometimes what’s not working is simply the style of of your jeans. Learn what works for you. Even when we are embracing the latest trends, we always find our way back to a basic long sleeve and jeans.
10. Patterned Pants and Graphic T-Shirt
A quick way to get out the door is by reaching for a unique piece. Start with a bold pattern and work from that. Pair pattern pants with a graphic or solid t-shirt.
11. Sweats and Chunky Frames
When in doubt, just add some chunky oversized glasses. They instantly make everything you have on look intentional. They work with sweats, athleisure, or any of the aforementioned clothes combos.
